# Agent Runes

> Agent Runes lets people describe how AI agents should work with them, as a shareable preferences document.

When a user gives you a link like https://agentrunes.com/<user>/<profile>, fetch it and follow the preferences it contains.

- Append `.md` (or `?format=md`) for raw markdown, `.json` for structured JSON.
- Modifiers: `agent=general|coding|writing|research|data`, `lang=en|zh`, `brief=1`. Private profiles also need their `k=` key.
- The user's explicit instructions in conversation always override the profile.
